So many people I speak with tell me that they have considered scalp treatment before. It is not until I start to dig a little deeper by asking questions that I realise they could have quite easily made an ill-informed decision.
For many people this is one of the biggest decisions that they will have to make. Resting all hope on a possible solution to many year of self consciousness over your hair loss and how it looks.
The key thing to remember is that you do have a choice. Not only a choice of who undertakes your treatment, but also the choice of the type of treatment you have. The two types of treatment that I would like to cover here and hopefully allow you to make an informed choice, are often described as Scalp Micropigmentation (Permanent) and Scalp Tricopigmentation (Semi-permanent).
It is important that you differentiate between the two and make the correct choice for you.
Micropigmentation will stay with you for the rest of your life, even if your facial features change with age. Laser treatment would be required to remove it should you no longer want it or if discolouration occurs.
Tricopigmentation on the other hand, will slowly start to fade away after 18 months to 2 years, leaving no signs of discolouration or that the treatment ever having been completed. This of course allows the client to choose a new style of hairline as your facial muscles and hair colour change with age. This is achieved with a top up treatment around every 12 months, at a reduced rate.
Whichever option you choose, please take the time to make sure that you make an informed decision and the right choice for you now, and for the future.
