Mesotherapy was pioneered by a French physician named DR Michael Pistor in 1952. It is a skin feeding treatment that delivers skin quenching serum to the layers of the skin where repair and growth occurs using a very superficial injection. Vitamins, amino-acids, minerals and hyaluronic acid are all essential components for healthy skin cells and can be delivered by mesotherapy. This treatment helps improve dull, dry, tired looking skin superficial wrinkles and is an ideal for special occasions or just to freshen up the face.
How is it done?
A series of superficial injections are done by hand. For sensitive areas, anaesthetic numbing cream can be used pre – treatment. During the consultation you will be advised how many sessions you will need. The initial sessions are done every 2 weeks, with maintenance 1-2 times a year.
